Fandom: Fables / The Wolf Among Us
Name: Snow White
Canon Point: Pre-comics, right after the events in the Wolf Among Us
History: Snow White is that girl from the folklore, who found happily ever after with a prince and a castle and all those trappings. Except not.
Instead her prince was unfaithful (with her own sister no less), and her homelands ravaged by an adversary no one knew the name of, and on top of that she worked her way up the ranks of bureaucracy to the Deputy Mayor of Fabletown. Between the paperwork and the demands of a variety of other Fables in the world, she has her hands full. And with a Sheriff that not a lot of Fables can trust she's got her work cut out for her.
She arrives to the game after the events of the Wolf Among Us and before the actual comic series begins.
Personality:
Snow can come off as someone icy to some, as she's dealt with a lot of disappointment and harrassment up to this point. It's not that she doesn't care as much as she feels like she can't reveal her weaknesses. She's calculating but sometimes can't see the forest for the trees regarding the feelings of others. Some may think of this as her being dense, but it's really that there's a lot of things going on in her head at once.
Deep down, she's still hurting from the loss of her perfect ending and falling out with her sister. This distances her from other people, and even those she can learn to rely on are constantly being scrutinized. She won't appreciate anyone who wants to swoop in and save the day, especially if she can't be sure you won't want something from that. She hides her cynicism with sarcasm when she can.
If she can relax, in those rare moments, she's compassionate and diligent. Snow will keep her cynicism at bay when faced with an innocent or pure soul like a child. She doesn't want to burst their idealism about the world. Sometimes she has to reign in her aristocratic tendencies, which despite some time living in the woods made up for the bulk of her ideas on human relations.
She is also hiding some insecurities about being in power. She doesn't hate men, or even dislike most of them, but between her ex-husband, and her former boss and stalker Snow's learned to try and show a brave front. She's trying desperately to shake the image of a sheep or whatever metaphorical prey animal that they seem to be sniffing around for.
Skills | Powers:
Fencing: She's an excellent swordswoman. Seven previously living dwarves can attest to that.
Tactics: Snow is also who you would want on a team if there are any complicated missions to be carried out.
Loved By Many: Her popularity as a Fable makes her extremely hard to kill. Though her recovery time can be slow; a shot to the head will put her in a coma and give her a limp, but not kill her.

[She is close up, seemingly adjusting the camera]
Hello? There, that looks better. Hello. I wouldn't normally do this, but considering the circumstances I feel like I have to reach out this way. My name is Snow White and I'm the current Deputy Mayor of Fabletown.
[She bites her lip for a moment, looks down and then back up again.]
I want to know if... well if any of you others out there are as lost as we are. I'm here with--
[She turns and looks behind her, a figure who is mostly in shadow is in the back]
I'm here with the Sheriff and he's declining to come on camera. We just want to know if we're alone. If you know who I am, well, we should be able to know who you are.
Third Person Sample:
She still felt a little sick to her stomach when she went to her desk--formerly Crane's--when she went in to work. But the Deputy needed a desk and she couldn't argue with the current power structure. With King Cole still gone, she couldn't exactly show how nervous she felt on the outside, so Snow wasn't going to think about it on the inside.
"Ah, Miss Deputy?"
That would be her eleven o'clock, the next interviewee to fill her currently vacant previous position. When she had it she thought of it as a glorified secretary role; now she was beginning to see the gaps such a position filled. The mountain of paperwork at her desk and the line outside the office attested to that fact.
So she invited the boy inside. Like most Fables he was older than he appeared, but it was strangely cheery how young he looked. Snow glanced down at the schedule. 'Boy Blue' it said in Bigby's nearly illegible scrawl. Well, made sense why his face was so youthful.
"Boy Blue? Just in time, you're my eleven. Take a seat and we'll get started."
As long as she acted like she knew what she was doing, they would believe it. Maybe after a while Snow would believe it too.
Marks: A crude apple-looking mark with a giant X over it on her left hip.
